terms of service

by creating a cravelyscout account, publishing a listing, or otherwise using the service, you (as an authorized representative of your food business) agree to these terms. if you do not agree, do not use the service.

cravelyscout is a digital storefront and public directory for local food businesses, currently focused on albuera and ormoc, leyte. the service allows business owners to publish and maintain their menu, prices, hours, location, and business information, and lets local customers discover them.

the service is currently offered free of charge while in early access. we may build and introduce additional business tools over time (such as point-of-sale, ordering, delivery, and inventory). those tools may be offered on separate commercial terms when they become available.

you may create one account per business owner and one active store per account. you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. business information you provide must be accurate, current, and complete.

notify us immediately at cravelyscout@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.

you retain ownership of the content you upload - including your business name, menu items, prices, photos, descriptions, and location. you grant cravelyscout a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and adapt your content for different devices, and to share it as necessary to operate the service and the public directory.

this license ends when you delete the specific content or close your account, except where continued display is required by applicable law or by ongoing legal proceedings.

you will use cravelyscout only for a legitimate food business you own or are authorized to represent. you will not:

• create fake, duplicate, or misleading business listings
• upload content that infringes intellectual property rights
• upload content that is unlawful under philippine law, including the cybercrime prevention act of 2012 (ra 10175) and the intellectual property code (ra 8293)
• use the service to send spam or unsolicited marketing
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service

you are responsible for complying with all regulations that apply to your business, including bir registration, dti or sec registration, local government unit permits, and food safety requirements.

cravelyscout is in early access and is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific performance levels. we may perform maintenance, upgrades, or take parts of the service offline at any time, with or without notice.

cravelyscout is currently free while we grow. we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to:

• add, modify, or remove features
• introduce paid plans, subscriptions, transaction fees, or commission-based pricing on new products (including but not limited to point-of-sale, ordering, delivery, and inventory tools)
• otherwise monetize the service in ways consistent with the nature of the platform

if we introduce fees that would apply to features you are already using, we will give you at least thirty (30) days' notice by email or in-app before those fees take effect, giving you the opportunity to stop using the affected features or export your business data.

you may close your account at any time from your dashboard. we may suspend or terminate your account, at our sole discretion, if you materially breach these terms, if we suspect fraudulent activity, or if required to do so by law.

we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, at any time. if we plan to discontinue the service entirely, we will provide at least thirty (30) days' notice and, where reasonably practical, offer a means for you to export your business data before shutdown.

the cravelyscout name, logo, wordmark, website, source code, design system, and all related trademarks are owned by cravelyscout and its contributors. these terms do not grant you any right to use them, except as necessary to reference your listing on the platform.

to the fullest extent permitted by philippine law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. we do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, or generate customers or revenue for your business.

to the fullest extent permitted by philippine law, cravelyscout, its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one thousand pesos (₱1,000), whichever is greater.

you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless cravelyscout and its representatives from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

these terms are governed by the laws of the republic of the philippines, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the service will be brought before the courts of the philippines with competent jurisdiction.

we may update these terms from time to time. material changes will be communicated by email to your account address or through an in-app notice at least thirty (30) days before they take effect. continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
